So I'm returning to GW after several years. All my knowledge of the GW universe has long sense been purged

I have all 3 + EOTN. I logged back in, my main is 19 and I was sitting in Lions Arch. Quest wise I only have the EOTN ones...none of the old prophecies ones. So...how do I figure out where I left off? I want to finish Prophecies before I get to EOTN (I guess I was messing around there, I have a bunch of hero's now all 16-18 in lvl).

I did try rolling out in the world in EOTN and got rolled hard by the lvl26 mobs out there. I really need to get my hero's up to date on skills and builds

You should use some of your empty slots or buy new one and start completely over with a new toon. (Not Prophecies, that's the worst, longest and the most boring campaign of all). Keep all your old toons, because they might have some very very valuable stuff.

You get only 20lvl heroes at EotN, you were in NF if you get low lvl heroes.
Wiki is your best all-knowing friend.

hit M and look to see what missions you have done...that will tell you where you left off pretty quickly. If you need to know the mission order head over to the wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...primary_quests
and it will help you get your bearings again.

and welcome back (and yeah doing some of the missions just past LA will help you level up your heroes too).

My necro is 19, dervish 20 and both of them are kinda all over the map. I think at this point I may spin up a new character and actually do a campaign until completion (nightfall I think). I'm pretty sure I deviated from the normal path with dervish and tried to do prophecies at some point, which is why most of the nightfall stuff isn't done.

There were some nice goodies in the bank still, and a few black dye/purple pets from the birthday rewards sitting there. I guess I should find out the worth and unload them for some questing funds

Once I finish a playthru maybe I'll try and finish the other two.

Surely keep everything from the past, but make new toon to remind the world of GW. Sounds you have enough free slots.

I agree with you guys, best is to start with a new Character. But a little heads up, this isnt the Guild Wars you know 3 years ago. Its different, cant find group to do missions anymore, better get use to heroes and henchie, well maybe just heroes since you can have 7 of em now. Good luck though
